Nonlinear Analysis with Ansys Mechanical
This course covers the fundamental concepts and characteristics of nonlinear analysis using Ansys Mechanical software.
Nonlinearity arises from various causes (plasticity, large displacements, deformations, contacts), which can be grouped into three categories: geometric, material, and contact.
In this course, we will explore the fundamentals of nonlinear calculation and convergence in order to better solve nonlinear problems, such as problems with large deflections. We will also take a deeper look into all types of contacts and their formulation, detection methods and other advanced settings. In the nonlinear material domain the focus will be on metal plasticity and plasticity models. There’s also a module dedicated to the calculation of unstable structures due to buckling.
