FAQ – ESSS Webinar

Here you can find answers to questions that may arise when enrolling in a ESSS Webinar.

1. I am interested in the webinar; however, I can’t attend on the current dates. Will there be another webinar on the same theme in the future?

The live presentations will take place only on the days and times scheduled; however, the recordings will be made available later in the ESSS virtual library.

2. Can I receive the recording after watching the webinar?

Files, articles, and webinars will be posted in the ESSS virtual library. It may take 15 to 30 days after the presentation for the recordings to be available.

3. Where will the presentation/course take place?

TThe webinar presentations are online. You can connect through a computer within 10 to 30 minutes in advance, using the link sent to your email after registration. The presentation room will be available for access 30 minutes before the event.

4. Do I need to have ANSYS software installed on my computer to participate in the webinar?

No software installation is required. We use the Zoom platform for our webinars. If you have questions regarding the platform, go to the Zoom FAQ.

5. Do I need to use a headset?

You need audio output, either through headphones or speakers. Important: Remember to connect and enable audio from the computer and test to make sure it’s working properly before entering the webinar.

6. My audio is not working.

Check the audio control of your computer (right-click the volume icon and select the “Open Volume Mixes” option).

7. Is it possible to ask the instructor questions during the course?

Yes, through the chat function. Questions may be answered at the end of the presentation, depending on the availability of the presenter’s time. If we don’t get to your question during the event, we’ll reply to you by email.

8. Do I need to have any learning materials in hand during the course?

No.

9. Is it necessary to have some knowledge of the software or some other tool?

Unless you are informed in advance, no.

10. Do I need a password to connect?

No, but we suggest using your corporate email address.

11. How much does the course cost?

The webinars are free.

12. How do I enroll?

Complete the form on the event registration page. To find out what other events we are preparing, access our calendar.

13. For courses that have more than one module, is it necessary to make more than one application for each presentation day?

No, you only have to register once in the registration link to receive the email addresses of all the modules by email.

14. Can we receive the presentation files by email?

Files will not be sent. We will only make recordings available through our technical library.

15. When should I complete the survey?

The survey will be initiated by presenters or moderators.

16. Does ESSS issue certificates for online webinar courses?

We do not issue certificates for online courses. However, for special cases, when the company requires a certificate of participation to allow the employee to attend, please send an email to matheus@esss.co.The level of attention of the participant will be evaluated by the platform and, if it reaches 90% attention, the certificate will be approved.

Since the Institutions of Education have policies regarding the number of hours for different certificates, we do not issue certificates of participation for this purpose.
